SKI CAMP!

Hi welcome back bloggers! Last week most of the senior syndicate went on a ski camp. we had a lot of fun. here are some details of what happened. 1 week before the camp we were told to bring our ski/snowboarding things to school so the teacher can make sure we have the right gear for the mountain. At 7:30 am the people came to school with their ski/snowboarding gear and in about half an hour we were on the bus on the way to Mt Ruapehu! All the bus rides we went on were really long except for the one from the playground to the lodge.

On the way to the lodge we went to the Hamilton gardens. we took heaps of photos and we had fun exploring the gardens. We also went to the ed Hillary walkway and we looked at the really cool boards there. We also went to the Jim barker memorial playground. we played there for about 1 hour then we walked back to the bus so we could be on the road again heading towards the crossing backpackers lodge. when we finally got to the lodge we went to our rooms to unpack.

After we had unpacked we had enough time to play some games until it was dinner time. The desserts that the lodge staff provides was epic. We even had doughnuts and chocolate/strawberry sauce on the last night! the next day we had to wake up at 6:00 am so we can have breakfast and we had time to get ready to go to the mountain!  We got to lean how to ski or snowboard. It was difficult because I had never been skiing before. It was really fun learning how to ski because once I got the hang of it I turned out to be really really good at skiing. I have been ice skating and rollerblading 3 times.

on the first night we watched a movie. the movie room was in the games room. But the one thing I was surprised about is that you had to walk through a wardrobe to get to the movie room. To me it felt like I was in the lion the witch and the wardrobe, would you feel like that if you were there? in the movie room there were three big couches and one big TV with an expensive sound system.
