Creative Writing Rap

Hi welcome back bloggers, and today I am going to talk about my creative writing. Last week we were given a slideshow and we have to write a rap a narrative or a recount to tell you what happened on the day here is my rap.

Driving in a car mud runs so far
I can hear some barking we are now parking
We are dancing to a clown now let's do the double down nnnnnnnnn
Having a chit chat look at that fat cat
Warm up warm down trying not to spin around

Mud run … so fun X2

We are now running for the sunning
Having fun with some kids overrunning all the kids
When I finish in first place I will get a drinking space
The obstacles were hard but I made it all in one

I am the one the one X4

We get prizes all different sizes munching on some lunch munch munch munch
Ba Ba Ba-Loo Ba Ba Ba-loo
I got a balloon that can take me to the moon
On our way back the ride is so slack
Playing a game it’s gonna be frame
Back at school the mud runs so fun
I think I might go next year cause I feel like a billionaire!

Did you like my rap? I did. I will make another rap soon and share it with you but for now Blog Ya Later!!

Cross Country!

Hi welcome back bloggers, Last week we did some thing called a fun run. A fun run is something so children could help raise money for the school and children do this because the more money you raise the better prizes you get. We did 8 activities on the day here are the names of them: running, cheering, food stall, cake and ice block, warming up/down, kicking, obstacle course and skipping. I liked the fun run because first of all I liked the prizes you get and second of all I came 6th out of the year 5 boys! (higher place than last year but still in the top ten).

I would recommend this to all schools if you are trying to raise money for something so I think A fun run is a good idea. A fun run is a good way to get fit as well as winning awesome prizes. We had heaps of fun and I think you should give it a try. If you want to organise a fun run go to www.schoolfundraising.co.nz. It is a great website and you can see how many school are doing a fun run and how much money the schools have raised. Here are some pics of us on the day. Blog ya later!

SQUASH!

Hi welcome back bloggers! For the last few weeks we have been learning how to play Squash. Squash is a game that is similar to tennis but you have a squash wall/court. There are 3 lines, the top lie is called the out line, the middle line is called the service line, and the bottom line is called the tin. If you want to learn how to play squash here are some easy to follow steps:

step 1: practice your hand-eye co-ordination so every time the ball comes towards you you will be able to hit it every time, except for when the ball bounces of the Squash goal too hardly.
step 2: grab an opponent and have a game of Squash, but do it together and work together and see how many times you can bat it to each other.
step 3: now you know haw to play using teamwork now try competitive. try to make it hard for the other person to get it but just remember if he/she says let before it goes out you have another game.

CONGRATULATIONS! now you know how to play squash. now go out there and challenge some people. down below are some pictures of us having games of Squash.↓

SKI CAMP!

Hi welcome back bloggers! Last week most of the senior syndicate went on a ski camp. we had a lot of fun. here are some details of what happened. 1 week before the camp we were told to bring our ski/snowboarding things to school so the teacher can make sure we have the right gear for the mountain. At 7:30 am the people came to school with their ski/snowboarding gear and in about half an hour we were on the bus on the way to Mt Ruapehu! All the bus rides we went on were really long except for the one from the playground to the lodge.

On the way to the lodge we went to the Hamilton gardens. we took heaps of photos and we had fun exploring the gardens. We also went to the ed Hillary walkway and we looked at the really cool boards there. We also went to the Jim barker memorial playground. we played there for about 1 hour then we walked back to the bus so we could be on the road again heading towards the crossing backpackers lodge. when we finally got to the lodge we went to our rooms to unpack.

After we had unpacked we had enough time to play some games until it was dinner time. The desserts that the lodge staff provides was epic. We even had doughnuts and chocolate/strawberry sauce on the last night! the next day we had to wake up at 6:00 am so we can have breakfast and we had time to get ready to go to the mountain!  We got to lean how to ski or snowboard. It was difficult because I had never been skiing before. It was really fun learning how to ski because once I got the hang of it I turned out to be really really good at skiing. I have been ice skating and rollerblading 3 times.

on the first night we watched a movie. the movie room was in the games room. But the one thing I was surprised about is that you had to walk through a wardrobe to get to the movie room. To me it felt like I was in the lion the witch and the wardrobe, would you feel like that if you were there? in the movie room there were three big couches and one big TV with an expensive sound system.
